Activity, instruction, sportsmanship and fun!
We had it all at Laurel Athletics in 2022!
• The enthusiasm and passion stood out on the soccer • fields. Our campers improved each and every time they took the pitch this summer and showed their • true love for the game. Fun, fun, fun!
Bago Hoops & Wiffle ball leagues stood out for their competitiveness and sportsmanship.
• Fitness was buzzing with our older campuses getting pumped and fit in the Weightroom, the Spin Room, • and out on the Fit Trail, all while having a blast.
The Sequoian Flag Football League continued its tradition as some of those campers prep for Bago Football next summer.
• Fundamental work in Baseball/Softball led to awesome performances as the summer progressed. • Campers showed off their improved hitting,
pitching and fielding skills in various game
situations on the diamond.
Archery was on point! Periods were packed with all ages of campers experiencing safe, fun, competitive archery instruction.
• Gymnastics was packed for another fabulous gym show put on by Acadians and advanced gymnasts. •
Boys and Girls Lacrosse had a strong summer on the upper fields. The skills of passing, dodging, scooping and shooting were introduced to beginner players while they were integrated in offensive and defensive team schemes for older, more experienced laxers.
• Loud chants of, “BAXTER HOOPS!” could be
heard across camp on Sports Night in 2022. Their basketball league was a huge success. •
With adjustable basketball hoops, ping pong tables and a custom gaga pit, there was always sports action in midtown Rangeley.
• Inter-Camps were back in 2022! Boys and Girls
in our 4 oldest campuses had an opportunity to • compete against another camp in Soccer, Baseball, Softball, Lacrosse, Basketball and Girls Tennis. It
was so great to see our campers rise to the occasion and compete with intensity while showing off the skills they have been polishing in program each and • every day.
80 plus campers impressed us with their will to compete in the Laurel Triathlon.
• Basketball, Baseball, Softball and Soccer Intracamps ran 6th Period & Rest Hour for boys and girls in • Rangeley and Acadia.
Bec soccer action was fast and furious. Juniors, Seniors and Super Seniors all contributed to an awesome summer of competitive soccer.
• 100’s of runners participated in our 7am morning
Whether on the range or on the course at Belgrade Lakes our golfers improved and had fun in the summer of 2022.
marathon.
We did it! Another awesome summer in Laurel Athletics.
The Sequoia Hockey League (SHL) was again a summer highlight for the middle boys campus. Great passing and strong shooting squared off against speedy and tough, tenacious defense all summer in the hockey arena.
