       Hello Laurel Artists!
It’s often been said that a true artist inspires others and
InterArts 2023 was certainly a hub of infectious inspiration!
In Ceramics, all kilns were firing with camper made masks,
doves and an array of creative and practical art. Arts and Crafts
and Studio Art hummed as well with tennis ball puppets,
custom made keychains and incredible painting and drawing
showcasing campers’ creativity and persistence. Campers in
Metalsmithing used a variety of materials and techniques to
wow us with personalized pendants and moveable mobiles!
Up Baxter Hill, Rockport was making music of all kinds
resulting in campers and staff sharing their many talents at
campfires, talent shows and beyond. The Playhouse was busy
instructing stage combat and improvisation all the while
preparing for two fabulously run musical productions The
Most Epic Birthday Party Ever and Shrek, each stocked with
professional grade sets, costumes and camper talent! Around
the corner Chef Camp assisted campers in preparing flavor-
filled cuisine from around the world, while in Dance, campers
filled our studios with hip-hop, tap & ballet, and worked
tirelessly to prepare two fully choreographed dance shows for
the whole camp to enjoy!
Thank you campers and staff for making 2023 such an
inspiration!
