RARTS IHNelloTLauErelArtists!
We’ve heard it said that “creativity takes courage” and in 2024,
Laurel’s creative spaces were filled with determination, endurance and
fearlessness. The hum of pottery wheels in Ceramics provided a calm
backdrop for the creative chaos of Arts & Crafts next door. Patient,
determined artists applied new techniques in Studio Art while across
the way, focused metalsmiths used saws, files and flames to refine their
creations.
We all know the sights and smells in ChefCamp inspire mouth-watering
attention each program day, but how about the culinary creations put
up by Florida Atlantic and Georgia Tech for College Days?!? Apparently
practice does make perfect. Seriously, next level!
Rockport’s eager and talented staff nurtured, and in many cases
amplified, the musical talents of Laurel campers. Speaking of amplified,
Laurel dancers brought the noise in 2024! And it wasn’t only dancers
who practiced, perfected and delivered for big audiences. How about
the production and delivery of Newsies and Finding Nemo in 2024!
Cast, crew and staff, please.... take another bow!!!
Yes indeed, creativity in its many forms is alive and well on Echo Lake.
Whether you’re performing at a Laurel campfire, on stage or in the Field
House, or experimenting with a tiny brush stroke, singular chord, or
sprinkle of spice....creativity takes courage.
Keep creating Laurel campers! Until next year...
